Body & breath

Yoga

Mindful movement and breath to release tension, ground the body, and quiet a busy mind.

Yoga with Stephanie Breen in Toronto
What it is

Less about the shape, more about the feeling.

The yoga Stephanie shares is gentle and mindful, less about achieving poses and more about how you feel inside them. It meets your body where it is today, with no pressure to look or move a certain way.

Through slow movement and breath, the body lets go of held tension and the mind has room to settle. Practised on its own or woven with Reiki and psychotherapy, it helps the whole system come back to calm.

Questions

Good to know.

Do I need to be flexible or experienced?

Not at all. This is gentle, mindful yoga that meets your body where it is. Every movement can be adapted, and there is no level you need to reach to begin.

What kind of yoga is this?

It is slow and mindful, focused on breath, gentle movement and how you feel rather than achieving difficult poses. The aim is to release tension and quiet the mind.

What should I wear or bring?

Comfortable clothes you can move and breathe in are perfect. Other than that, just bring yourself. Anything else can be arranged when we plan your session.

Can yoga be combined with Reiki or psychotherapy?

Yes, and many people find that the most nourishing. Breath and movement can open the way for Reiki or talk-based work, so the three support one another.
